    • 1). Press the calculator's "Y=" key. Input the function into the calculator carefully, using "^" symbols to enter exponents other than "squared," for which a special key exists. For example, input the function y = x^2 + 2x + 5.

    • 2). Hit the "Trace" button. Input the desired minimum and maximum "X" and "Y" values in the respective slots.

    • 3). Press the "Trace" button again to display the graph over the selected interval. Use the left and right arrow keys to follow the line of the graph and display exact "X" and "Y" values for any given point of the graph.
